Memory verses

Memorizing Scripture with your children helps God’s Spirit bring about lasting change. Choose a verse that your children can learn over the course of your lesson and aim to review the verse at least once every day.

Deuteronomy 32:4 “The Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is He.”

Psalm 10:30a “This God – His way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true . . .”

Psalm 25:12 “Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will He instruct in the way that he should choose.”

Psalm 33:8-9 “Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him! For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm.”

Psalm 47:2 “For the Lord, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.”

Psalm 89:8 “O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty as You are, O Lord, with Your faithfulness all around You?”

Psalm 96:4 “For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.”

Psalm 102:15 “Nations will fear the name of the Lord, and all the kings of the earth will fear Your glory.”

Psalm 111:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”

Psalm 114:7a “Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord . . .”

Psalm 147:5 “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding is beyond measure.”

Ecclesiastes 3:14 “I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before Him.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13b “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

Isaiah 46:9b “. . . I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me . . .”

Jeremiah 10:7 “Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your due; for among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms there is none like You.”

Revelation 4:8b “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!”
